Herd of cows block village road near Haywards Heath

Drivers were held up when a herd of 30 cows blocked a road near Haywards Heath early yesterday morning.

Police helped to move the cows off the road in Lindfield at around 6.30am.

Inspector Darren Taylor said the herd had ‘caused a few issues for motorists trying to get to work.’

But, he said, they were all accounted for and put safely back in their field.
