CLIVE Roberts was sacked as a county cabinet member for giving a female officer in her late 20s a peck on the cheek because she handled a TV interview so well.
From time immemorial, women have been greeting or congratulating each other with a peck on the cheek, and men-to-men with a handshake.

Why can't we men have the same rights without being branded a groper?

Or has the reported incident been "fl
owered" up as it went around the council offices?

Women and equality!

If so, I think he should think about suing for wrongful dismissal.

Good job we haven't had a directive from Brussels to adopt the pleasant French way of greeting/congratulating, kissing and handshakes.

I've just got back from France and my cheeks and lips are sore.

If we followed their lead we'll all face the sack, leaving no staff to do the jobs.
