WE recently announced in the local press that Paws Animal Sanctuary was being forced to close temporarily.
Lack of funds and the sanctuary never before being so full of stray and unwanted animals meant that we had no choice.

We are still open Sundays 3pm – 5pm to adopt a pet.

Recently rescued was Pixie; a very sick miniature horse, that needed an ex
pensive operation.

This added to our already mounting vet's bills and came as a shock when the bills suddenly shot up to over £5,000.

Our thanks to everyone who helped us.

Sheila and I were overwhelmed when we had so many phone calls, letters and cards from well-wishers.

We are so grateful to everyone who sent us cheques, many anonymous, many from pensioners, who said they could only spare a few pounds, most not wanting acknowledgements, telling us to save on envelopes and stamps.

We are half way there and grateful thanks to everyone who sent us money.

If animal lovers want to help us and wish to make a donation, cheques should be made payable to Paws Animal Sanctuary.

We will open again as soon as we get back on our feet.
