I WISH to voice my views regarding the ongoing debate about Durrington Cemetery.
I think a few weeds are the last of the problems there, and that the bigger cause for concern should be the use of it as a motorcycle race track.

I was last there on Monday, August 11, with my family, quietly remembering my brother's anniversary
and tending to the graves of my baby son, and five-year-old daughter.

We choose to go in the evening to enjoy the peace and tranquillity there.

However, our peace was shattered by three youths on scooters racing each other up and down the main hill and round the chapel for over half an hour.

Showing nothing but complete disrespect.

It won't be long before the Findon Road gates are also closed in the evenings, forcing us to confine our grief to daylight hours.

I feel this would be unjustifiable.

But security and tidiness at the cemetery is an ongoing debate that I feel will never be solved.

Kerry Jones - A grieving mum and sister
